Chechen

Chechen, also known as Caribbean Rosewood or Black Poisonwood, is a dense hardwood native to Mexico and Central America. It boasts a rich color spectrum, from golden brown to deep reddish-brown, often enhanced by dark streaks and a dramatic, swirling grain pattern. Known for its durability and natural resistance to decay, Chechen is relatively easy to work with despite its hardness. It sands and finishes beautifully, achieving a high polish that accentuates its striking grain.
