Chakte viga, native to Central and South America, is a striking hardwood known for its vivid orange to reddish hues, which darken into a rich brown as it ages. It generally features a straight grain, fine and uniform texture, and a subtle natural luster. Also called Orangeheart or Paela, this moderately dense wood is easy to work with and takes a high polish, yielding a smooth, glossy finish.
